About Us

Divyakarunya Ashram, oduvally ,Chapparappadava Po Kannur Dt started by a family in the year 2001. Then in 2012 Montfortian Society, ( Montfort sisters) from Bangalore came and took the Administration . It is a Charitable organization started to look after the wandering homeless and Psychologiaclly ill persons of the society. It was registered under Kerala Orphanage Control Board. untill may 2023 it was a Psycho social rehabilitation centre for Men. but in May 2023 it got the title OL AGE HOME for MEN. . The residents are the same today as last year.

At present there are 24 such men. We have the facility and permission to accommodate 30 persons. It is Managed with local Donations in cash and kind,also personnel service from various individuals and organizations for caring and cleaning the residents and residence. we the Montfort sisters are happy to spend our time and energy to look after these persons with love and compassion. we follow the footsteps of our Lord and Master Jesus Christ and our Holy founders St.Louis Marie de Montfort and Blessed Mother Marie Louise of Jesus. "IF I WERE A PIECE OF CLOTH I MYSELF WOULD CLOTHE THE POOR" said Bl. Marie Louise of Jesus.( looking at the plight of the poor in the street in France) 'OPEN THE DOOR TO JESUS CHRIST ' said montfort bringng an old sick poor person in the night to the community. "IF YOU DON'T TAKE RISK FOR GOD YOU DON'T DO ANYTHING GREAT FOR HIM.'

our residents enjoy peacefull atmosphere here with good food and accommodation.they are under the Divine Mercy of God. we Thank all our benefators who contribute to us in cash and kind. we thank all the persons who comes to care the staff and care takers , for their selfless service to least of these residents. we invite all of you who see this site to Join Hands with us to continue this project.
